Controlling User Access

You may have content on your site that you would like to restrict to a certain group of people.  The CMS makes it very easy for you to control this.

  • Click the gear icon  in the group of icons at the top of the page (not the one next to the Edit link).
  • Click the "Security" tab
  • Make sure "Roles that can view this page is selected"
  • Select which group of users have permission to view this page.

Some common options will be "All Users", "Authenticated Users", and "Administrators." Selecting the "All Users" option means anyone who browses to the website can see what is on this page.  Selecting the "Authenticated Users" option means anyone who has logged into the website can see what is on this page.  Selecting the "Administrators" option means that anyone who is logged in with an administrator account can see what is on this page.

"Authenticated Users" can also view pages marked for "All Users", and "Administrators" can view pages marked for "All Users" or "Authenticated Users".
